The one thing that I always hear from people trying to recruit me to a revenue sharing real estate company, like Exit or Exp, is how much more money you could make if you were recruiting to their company vs. KW. Here are my thoughts:
Their value proposition is revenue sharing. Our value proposition is training, systems, support, culture...and profit share. I also do not just recruit to make profit share. I recruit, because I actually believe this company is changing agents' businesses and lives.
KW actually first started out as a revenue sharing company...and not a surprise....it was not profitable. So...Gary went to a compensation expert, who told him, that the agents had no skin in the game. They did not care how much money Gary spent and whether or not KW was profitable. That is when we shifted into a profit sharing company, and that is why we call our associates STAKEHOLDERS. We are all vested in the profitability of KWRI, and our incredible culture of sharing and caring stems from vested interest. Revenue sharing does not create culture...it creates a one on one relationship between the sponsor and sponsoree.
In my mind, what is so much more important that how much money you can make off of each recruit...is the chances that the recruit will actually be successful, how long they will stay with the company and what is the present and future growth trajectory of the company they are in. I think it is safe to say, that when we actually follow our model, and we truly are delivering on our value proposition at the highest level, agents we attract to our company will not only be more successful and have a longer real estate career with our company...KWRI is literally on the verge of #TotalWorldDomination.
Bottom line...you might be able to make a quick buck recruiting someone to a revenue sharing company, but I will take the long-term growth, stability and the legacy of my investment in KWRI.#TheKWEffect
